Our price: £18.00

This pack is all about experimenting with quality fibres and joyful colours. It’s an invitation to play with contemporary linen fabrics in soft shades and an open weave textured cotton too, using six naturally dyed wool threads, fine silk and no less than twenty four shades of stranded embroidery cottons.

The fabrics are small enough not to be intimidating, big enough to make useful things with - needlecases, jewellery rolls, stitched envelopes for small precious gifts, pincushions, a storage roll for crochet hooks, pencilcases, cosmetics bags and so on.

Or you can simply enjoy the process of making marks with simple stitches, regular patterns or random, flowers or geometrics, names or nonsense then frame your artwork and display it. Whatever you do (or don’t) have fun!

This pack contains:

pieces soft blue linen, soft green linen and a honeycomb weave cotton, all at least 31cm x 34cm

two small squares of eco-printed cottons

6 x 4 metres of natural dyed fine wools

25 yards of fine silk thread

1 metre of each of 24 different shades of stranded embroidery cottons

2 different sized needles

a Simple Stitches Guide

Delighted to have this wonderful book waiting for me when I got home.
The stories of 25 women who weave, spin, make buttons, embroider and sew, keeping alive their textile traditions with strength, generosity and dignity in a rapidly developing country.

The women of Morocco rock!

Sunset at Erfoud
A long but wonderful journey from Fes to Erfoud today, over the eastern part of the High Atlas range.
Stunning scenery, rock formations, gorges.
Donkeys, camels, monkeys.
Also snow on the ground.
Also desert.
In the date capital of Morocco tonight!

Natural dyed fine wools from @zuzanash
🧶🧶🧶
Not finished my current sweater knit but I caught sight of two generous skeins of #dundaga_yarn in my stash and couldn’t help myself and wound the first one.
I bought them from Iveta @balticknitsscotland - so difficult to choose between all her glorious colour combinations!
I can’t cast on a new project till I finish t’other one (my rules) but the shades are calling me🤗
