Mild Animals are a collection of small cushions worked in my hand dyed vintage blanket fabric. An addition to the sofa, or a little pal to cuddle perhaps.

Each piece of blanket is dyed separately so there are variations in shade as well as minor blemishes in the original blanket which may show up as darker areas. These are to be celebrated - the blankets have had a life!

The kits all contain pieces of blanket for front and back, a tissue paper design, needle and threads. There is a simple stitches guide card as well as detailed guidance on how to transfer the design and create your cushion. The kits do not contain stuffing.

Contented Cat - this sleeping ginger friend comes with gingery orange blanket and two shades of cotton perle thread and measures approx 28cm x 16cm

Noble Elephant - the proud fellow is made with mottled grey blanket, dark blue and variegated cotton perle thread and measures approx 26cm x 24cm

Midnight Hare - the silent hare sprinkled with stars is in mid/dark blue blanket with white cotton perle thread and measures approx 20cm x 28cm

Happiness is… a fresh supply of my ‘superfood’ granola!

You may scoff, but toasted oats and seeds and nuts and cacao and cinnamon and a pinch of salt, dried fruit, honey and some oil is my ‘food of the gods’
😋🤗😁

Recent read and current read
My intentions are good but I just don’t read as many books as I used to.
I hope that can change as there are stacks of ‘em in the queue.

This early collection of Claire Keegan’s was as good as you’d expect - carefully crafted, not a wasted word.
And now I’m savouring artist James Roberts’ use of language in his contemplation of dawn and dusk in all their magnitude.

Got my big girl boots on and I’m off to Copenhagen. Just seeking a quiet spot to hang out in until it is time to board the plane.
