Anstruther Bag*****Posted by Maura T on April 9 2024 at 21:42thank you Lindsay, I am absolutely delighted with my lovely bag . it is beautifully knitted and the lining is a perfect compliment to the outer. I will rally enjoy using it . Big enough for all my basics and for small purchases. I was lucky to spot it on your website and immediately fell in love with it, Blue is my favourite colour. Maura

I am trying out DMC Eco Vita wool threads on a piece of dyed blanket. No rules, just experimenting. I like the soft colour palette of these naturally dyed organic crewel wools which I found at @mybearpaw a couple of weeks ago. I succumbed to lovely Japanese fabrics there too🤗

I don’t dye yarn no more, but I do dye thread…
These ones coming soon to the Tart’s emporium

A very happy sunny Edinburgh day - lots of quick chats and warm hugs with so many friends old and new at the inaugural Woolly Good Gathering at Summerhall.

A triumph for the organisers, it was a welcoming inclusive event with space to breathe and so much beautiful yarn and fibre.

Later a lovely catch up with a dear friend who embraces life to the full in her ninth decade - a role model of the best kind.

A wee look back at my first visit to Jess’s lovely new premises with some of our happy yarn-loving travellers earlier this month. It’s a treasure trove!

A quiet day or two of tidying, catching up and stitching. New samples finished and a seed stitch on eco print piece finally done too. It’s been one of my portable projects for a long time - - -

Couldn’t resist these madder dyed skeins at @isleofskyenaturaldyeco last week.

The indigo over dyeing has produced such a pleasing slate shade.
I even know what I am going to knit with them - just not when🤭
Loch Linnhe looking peaceful this morning. We’re heading south now, back to Edinburgh via a last yarn stop…

Essential staff team-of-two meeting slotted in to this morning’s schedule…
