Dyed vintage wool blanket

The woollen blanket I sourced for these dates from 1958!

The pieces have marks consistent with years of use, and some of them have a small hole or two. I like to think they are proof of a long and useful life which you can add to with your stitchery or felting or other creative ideas, so please accept their ‘imperfections’.

Colours in the multi-piece image are more accurate than the individual shade images.

The majority of the pieces I ‘scrunch’ dyed so the colouration is uneven. Each piece* measures at least 55cm x 40cm. Some will have a narrow dark woven stripe or two along one edge.

Unrepeatable, either in colour or texture. Unique and cherishable.

*One of the pale teal pieces has a small diagonal cut off. It measures 57cm x 43cm and the missing corner is 11cm x 5cm
