Indian block prints!

There is a wonderful quality to a carved wooden block, whether it has been wrought by the finest artisan in great detail, or more boldly chiseled to create a strong rustic image. I love them all, and most of all I love that a real person's hands made them, perceived flaws and all.

Here are four different sets of block printed fabric patches I have made for you to use in your own work -

repair a tear in your clothes ~ stitch onto a pretty fabric to make a pincushion, a needle case, a page in a fabric story book ~ add to collage ~ stick them in your journal ~ attach to a card to send to a friend or as a tag for a gift ~ include them in your boro style stitching or patchwork ~ fill them with embroidery stitches and wear as a brooch...

Each set includes blocks printed in black, in soft blue and in a natural linen shade.

Most of the patches are of a soft vintage white cotton. After printing all patches have been heat set and are washable at 30*C.

Super Idea!*****Posted by Steven R on June 23 2022 at 14:41I loved the idea of these little prints to add to my stash. Receiving them just now has made me want to order some more! Can't wait to play with them in some projects. Print quality is good.

A wee cast-on ready for the simplest ever cowl knitting. The yarns, held together, will do all the talking.
One’s a lovely rich 4ply skein dyed by @casserlyalison and t’other is heavy laceweight hand spun wool and silk by spinner ‘OB’ which I bought at @handspinnerskye last year.
And the bag? A joyful hand stitched make by @bizzilizzikelso - just the right size for this project🤗

A board full of samples and descriptions so that you know what’s packed in each kit. Well, some of them - I don’t have space for them all😁
