Natural Selection Box

A box of possibilities!

The Natural Selection Box is for explorers and experimenters. In here you will find natural fibre fabrics, primarily in their unbleached state. There are new, vintage and antique pieces in very varied textures and weights.

Try natural dyeing with food scraps and kitchen supplies, or dyestuffs gathered responsibly outdoors.

Experiment in other ways - stitch on them, paint or print on them, wrap them up with plants to make eco prints and use them in your creative embroidery.

You will receive Scottish linens, Indian cottons, handwoven antique French linen and many different cotton weaves and weights.

Every box contains:

• 15 different fabrics (six are approx 20cm x 30cm, nine are approx 15cm x 20cm)
• A description of each one (I've numbered every piece!)
• Vintage crochet cotton
• Undyed wool/nylon yarn
• Hand crocheted vintage lace
• A little rust dyed cotton sample

All wrapped up in tissue and tied with a bow - the perfect gift for your favourite textile maker.

This is a box of inspiring supplies, not a kit. There are no instructions but I have included sources of online help, and the books of renowned contemporary textile artists.
