Enjoy a little gentle stitching and fill these vessels with flowers and bulbs, or pencils and pens, feathers, knitting needles or whatever takes your fancy.

I have printed my own lino cuts onto lovely vintage damask weave cotton tablecloth*. The pack contains 2 prints, a blue and white striped jug and a terracotta plant pot plus six different floral shades of embroidery thread so that you can have fun stitching in any way that pleases you. Cover the fabrics in stitch or go minimal with just a few blooms. Add your own threads and perhaps tiny fabric scraps.

Use your stitchery as mending patches, or sew into wee pockets, lavender bags, pincushions, needlecases or pattern weights.

This pack contains:

two different lino prints on vintage white cotton - approx 13xm x 15cm

two pieces similarly sized plain white cotton fabric

six metres of embroidery thread and a needle

dried lavender

A very happy sunny Edinburgh day - lots of quick chats and warm hugs with so many friends old and new at the inaugural Woolly Good Gathering at Summerhall.
🧶
A triumph for the organisers, it was a welcoming inclusive event with space to breathe and so much beautiful yarn and fibre.
🧶
Later a lovely catch up with a dear friend who embraces life to the full in her ninth decade - a role model of the best kind.

A wee look back at my first visit to Jess’s lovely new premises with some of our happy yarn-loving travellers earlier this month. It’s a treasure trove!

A quiet day or two of tidying, catching up and stitching. New samples finished and a seed stitch on eco print piece finally done too. It’s been one of my portable projects for a long time - - -

Couldn’t resist these madder dyed skeins at @isleofskyenaturaldyeco last week.

The indigo over dyeing has produced such a pleasing slate shade.
I even know what I am going to knit with them - just not when🤭
Loch Linnhe looking peaceful this morning. We’re heading south now, back to Edinburgh via a last yarn stop…
🌼☕️
Essential staff team-of-two meeting slotted in to this morning’s schedule…
Hiding in plain sight?
Edinburgh Castle from Princes St Gardens on this gentle morning.
Looking forward to a group lunch and presentation by Susan @thejournalofscottishyarns at @24royalterrace
Arrived in Edinburgh. First stop - caffeine. The sweet morsel was on the house, honest!

Excellent coffee at @hot.toddy.edinburgh
