A selection of mainly cotton fabric lengths for your small-project stitching pleasure.

I always recommend a gentle machine wash before use, especially for indigo-dyed cloth.

BLUE GEO

115cm wide x 144cm. This soft blue lightweight cotton features an unusual use of a traditional block designed for border printing. It is printed by Shakil Ahmed, a renowned batik block printer in Gujarat, using natural dyes.

BLUE GEO 2

112cm wide x 100cm. A bold contemporary block print design on indigo dyed heavyweight handwoven cotton, from Rajasthan

FEATHERS

140cm wide x 100cm. Upholstery weight fabric with a bold feather repeat pattern.

FLOWERS

110cm wide x 320cm. Floral block prints on lightweight cotton, from Rajasthan.

INDIGO SPATTER

112cm wide x 100cm. A rich dark indigo dyed lightweight cotton liberally and randomly spattered in pale green, black and white

MARRIAGE

112cm wide x 89cm. This soft lightweight cotton is printed by Shakil Ahmed, a renowned batik block printer in Gujarat, using natural dyes. The block is traditionally used in a dark print form on wedding clothing by his community.

POLKA DOTS

140cm wide x 176cm. I think this fabric is 100% viscose. It has great drape and there’s enough to make a garment!

TICKETS

98cm x 53cm remnant of a fun print featuring tickets and adverts on mediumweight cotton.

I spent today driving about in the sunshine, checking out venues for new tours.
Caught up with lovely @lammermuirwool and managed to keep my hands off her yarn (just)
Had to stop to photograph these two as I headed for the coast!
🧵Thanks for the lovely sales of my wee kits-in-tins this last week or so. New stock in production today of Indigo Patchwork and Indigo Garden tins.
🍒
Does anyone dye yarn with all the rich dark nuances of black cherries?
I think that would be perfection.
.
.
Admittedly tomorrow I may feel the same way about wild strawberries, or starling plumage. Today, though, is a cherry day

Stitching at the kitchen table tonight.
Small project, wonky stitches, no rules.
Finally finished the simplest shawl(ette) and it’s off for a wee bath. May show it off when it’s blocked🤗
Just before the heavens opened on us.
Again!
Morning walks with Bruce🐾
🤗🧵❤️
New bundles in the shop!
Lots of blues, lots of birds - bit of a theme…
Each bundle is a one-off mix of fabrics, threads and finished items - often sample pieces I’ve made - and always a little extra tucked in the box too😘
🌿
Wednesday windowsill - garden gleanings and my own wee stash of hand dyed threads from favourite dyers🧵🤗🧵
